About PostGISonline

PostGIS online is a site for testing and learning spatial SQL. It was released in Mars 2010.

It is hosted at Linode.com on a Xen-virtualized ubuntu-server

The main software used is:

• database server PostgreSQL with PostGIS
• webserver Apache with PHP and Mapserver to create the maps
• on the client side there is just plain HTML with some AJAX and javascript

So far it is a one man project written by me, Nicklas Avén
